Ballard Food Bank

1400 NW Leary Way, Seattle, WA 98107

Ballard Food Bank has been serving the greater Northwest Seattle community since the late 1970s, but never from a permanent home.

Spectrum was hired to find the non-profit a permanent home and help them double the size of the food bank while also creating greater capacity to serve their mission of bringing food and hope to their neighbors. The new space includes a warehouse space, grocery-store-style market, café and prep kitchen, garden, staff offices, expanded home delivery and Weekend Food for Kids programs, and a Community Resource Hub to help individuals and families with rent assistance, medical check-ups, case management, social services, VA services and much more. The new home addresses the community’s needs in a more comprehensive and convenient way by inviting partner agencies to meet with people within the building.
