When the University of Oregon decided to depart from the traditional approach to design and construction of a new residence hall, they hired Spectrum as the Development Manager to ensure the achievement of the targeted project cost with an aggressive schedule.
The University of Oregon asked Spectrum to assist the University in deciding whether to move forward with the hall improvements and additions which include resident assistant rooms, two professional staff apartments, a resident faculty apartment, and an academic program space in the form of a flexible learning commons. The project underwent a two-phased approach to modernize the hall by updating bathrooms and providing an accessible and updated residential community experience. The addition of lounge and study spaces on each floor as well as community spaces provides residents the ability to come together in a centralized area.
