OBCC provides a fully integrated pediatric, medical, dental, and mental health clinic for South Seattle and South King County.
Located at the northwest corner of Othello Square and South Othello Street in Seattle, Orenda at Othello Square will be dedicated to both workforce housing, a childcare facility called Tiny Tots, and Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic. While the fully integrated pediatric, medical, dental, and mental health clinic and Tiny Tots will take up the bottom two floors of Orenda, the upper five floors will be workforce housing with 40 percent of units set aside for individuals and families earning up to 80 percent AMI ($50K to $80K) for 20 years.
OBCC is part of the Othello Square development, which began as a grass roots movement in 2008, when community members in Othello joined together to influence the trajectory of their neighborhood. Adjacent workforce housing and early childhood education will help stabilize communities at risk of displacement and engage diverse residents. Community input was an integral part of the design process and the work of over 35 local artists is on display throughout the clinic.
Spectrum’s relationship with Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic was fostered through our ongoing work with Seattle Children’s Hospital.
